IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE!
After more than two decades of dreaming, planning, fundraising, collecting, and building, the Surfing Heritage and Culture Center is opening the doors to its new home in the heart of Laguna Beach.
Just steps from Main Beach, SHACC's permanent museum will become home to the world's most comprehensive collection of surfing history and culture, creating an inspiring place where the stories, boards, photographs, films, music, and people that shaped surfing can be preserved and shared for generations to come.
We hope you'll join us for SHACC's Grand Opening Weekend, culminating with our Grand Opening Fundraising Gala on September 20th. Together, we'll celebrate the journey that brought us here, honor the people who made it possible, and help write the next chapter of SHACC's mission.
Friday September 18
VIP, Press/Media, & Gala Ticket holders will have early entry to the museum before it is open to the public

Ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Founder Dick Metz, followed by a traditional Hawaiian blessing
2:00 PM
2:30 PM - 7:00 PM
SHACC Laguna Beach will be officially open to the public!
Saturday September 19
VIP, Press/Media, & Gala Ticket holders will have early entry to the museum before it is open to the public for the day
10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Stop by for an open-house-style viewing and Grand Opening festivities, free to the public . All ages are encouraged to visit

SHACC Grand Opening Fundraising Gala - A legendary night where the museum showroom turns into an epic fundraising event. Live music from Donavon Frankenreiter, tributes and special presentations, and live and silent auctions will be going throughout the evening
